Hannah

Photographing in an industrial space has always been a project that I tucked away in the back of my head as something I wanted to do when I had a break between weddings, senior and family sessions. Last winter, I reached out on Facebook for someone willing to model for me. A friend tagged Hannah in the post and she responded that she’d be willing to be our brave subject.

I was also connected to the space by a friend of a friend that hooked us up with the old Solon Manufacturing building on the Island in Skowhegan. They were incredibly gracious to allow us access to the space and I wish I had more time or more accurately, that the weather was warmer so we could have shot longer but I was really pleased with the results and think they speak for themselves.

Hannah was such a pleasure to work with. She showed up with more clothes and shoes than we knew what to do with and did everything we asked of her. Being in an unheated space in the winter would slow most people down but not Hannah. We pushed her to the edges of her comfort zone and she responded like a pro. We definitely plan to work together again sometime and we look forward to it because she is fun, open minded and stunning!

For the gear heads out there, this was shot on a Canon EOS R with a combination of 3 lenses, the Canon 85mm 1.8, 70-200 2.8 ii and 24-70 2.8 ii. We lit the shoot with a Godox AD600 in a 37” quick parabox, a Godox AD200 with a metal reflector and a 3 in one round reflector on a stand.
